Two Cities, One Relationship

The formal twinning relationship between Omaha and Carlentini was commemorated in a ceremony on September 21, 2022, at Omaha's Durham Museum, located at 801 South 10th Street in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. This event commenced the city's first virtual friendship signing agreement.

Mayor Jean Stothert of Omaha and Guiseppe Stefio of Carlentini, Sicily declared by signature through live video feed, the symbolic gesture for diplomacy to strengthen the long-standing relationship between the two cities.
